About The Owner
Ron Heitzman, second generation owner, started out when he was just tall enough to stand on a milk crate to reach the parts washer in his dad's shop. Working after school, summer breaks, and weekends taught him the art of shimming drive gears for the best possible life with minimal noise. Ron became a DANA®/Spicer® expert at an early age. He carries on the values set by his father, build it right, build it strong, and the customer will be happy.
Location
Fresno Four Wheel Drive Center is located at 4679 East Hammond Avenue in Fresno California. We're not that easy to find as the street doesn't have a sign anymore but your smart phone's GPS can find it. You will drive up an approach onto a dirt-gravel road and 250 feet on your right is the gate. It looks like a 4x4 parts yard, no fancy store front, no retail products hanging on peg board, and no waiting room. Just a hard-working shop dedicated to 4x4 repair.
We are open Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00. Closed on Saturday and Sunday. If it's a holiday, call before coming to confirm business hours. Driving in, call to confirm hours and arrival so we can make your visit short/productive.

Willys and Jeep®
We specialize in Willys and Jeep® builds and repairs from the military (MBs) to the civilian versions (CJs). We are the experts on building a super-strong DANA 44™ with lockers. Going bigger than 33-inch tall tires, call us. We can build you a drop-in unit to upgrade now or replace your broken unit after a huge tow bill. Does your old Jeep® still have the 9" drum brakes, go 11", or better go disc on the front with 11" drums on the back. Most stock differentials have "small axle syndrome" and owners wanting to roll bigger than 28" tires, call us.
Forward Control (FC-150 & FC-170)
The Jeep Forward Control truck was produced from 1959 to 1965 and featured a cab over (forward control) design. Do you need parts or have one for sale? We are always looking to purchase. Give us a call and let's talk FCs.
